pastry baking

so lately i've been baking a lot ...

most of it are breakfast for hubby to bring to work ~

so today i made his favorite "otak-otak" puffs !!!!

it's as simple as stuffing otak-otak into ready made pastry ...

so here is the outcome today !!!!

Ready made pastry : baking for beginners

I always go to Starbucks , not only their beverages addicting , also their pastries , especially the chic'o cheese ( sausage wrapped in pastry skin )

I thought to myself , why not learn to make some myself instead of spending unnecessary money on those delicious bastards that cost a bomb ?!

And so my mum , who is a baker , told me there are ready made pastry to be bought from the freezer section in the markets , just wrap it around a sausage and bake it in oven . As easy as that .

So I went to a few market hunting the ready made pastry .

Disappointing enough , couldn't find it in either jusco or tesco .

And at last , found it in plentong giant !!!

What we need ?

1.purchase ready made pastry ! (4.90 ringgit per pack)

2.mould/ baking pan ( the heart shape cookie cutter was 5ringgit from 100yen store)

3. Butter

4.anything u wanna stuff in your pastry : sausage , ham and cheese , kaya , peanut butter ~~~

5.oven / convention microwave ( I'm using a microwave in convention mode , works in the same way of an oven )

6. Aluminum foil ( with / without )

First , take out a piece of the pastry

Then , cut it out using a mould , in this case I'm using a heart shape cookie cutter ...

Put some kaya / jam at the center and cover it with another piece . Seal them in!

i would recommend to press along the side with chopstick end instead of fork ... it is neater 

Grease the aluminum foil with butter to prevent it sticking to the foil .

Preheat the microwave in convention mode , set the temperatures to 200 degree Celsius . ( on the packaging was a temperate wayyy higher than 200, but trust me , 200 works just well , no burnt pastries )

Place the pastries in , bake for 15 minutes .

And tadaaaaa !!! They're done !!!

I guess I had to press the pastry a little because they "poooof" rises sooooooo much than it should've !!!!!!

( I've only made two puffs , one failed - distorted , another one also rises too much , but the shape still appears to be a heart shape lah ...)

They may be distorted but the taste even better than Starbucks' , really ...

It was considered cheating using a ready made pastry but who cares ! Lie if u need to ! Impress your new bf ! Impress your friends and colleagues !!! They'll never find out u cheated ! XD

Alternatively , you can also make it into a pie . I'll do that tomorrow . Gonna make some "otak-otak" pie for baby boy .

Japanese restaurant in City Square

so baby boy and I went on a date on last Sunday in CS again.

there's a lot of new shops in the newly renovated CS !!!

there's this japanese reastaurant beside Sakae Sushi that sells reasonable priced japanese food .

the ramens are around 15 ringgit each . 

my salmon nigiri was 9 i think

the interior was very welcoming .

baby ordered shoyu ramen . 

it was really nice !

but the quantity wasn't satisfying ...

baby was complaining it isn't filling at alll......

 i ordered salmon nigiri !

it was obviously handmade .

the salmon was fresh .

but the rice is a little too sweet for me .......

and we waited quite a while for the food to be served ...

i would rate this shop 7/10 .

and i totally forgot the name .....

Tight schedule >~<

Tomorrow will be the last day of mid-sem exam , chemistry papers .
So far the other subjects are not that tough , but I don't want to expect too much and disappoint myself ... So I'll just lie to myself that I did bad ... Lol XD
It's so stressful facing exam when all I want is nothing but PERFECTION !!!
I want a scholarship so much !!!!
So that I will not burden my family and my husband and myself in the future paying back loans ...

Tomorrow is chemistry test and I am so lost now , don't know what to study ... Lol ... Maybe I already know quite some things lah , not much left that I think is difficult ... After all ... I did my A lvls right ...

But again , That's the problem .
I could have be in MBBS already with my A lvl result , I'm doing foundation again for the scholarship on intend to score 4.0 cgpa ... So I can't shit it right ...

I just want to finish the test ALREADY !!
And on Sunday I'm gonna celebrate it with dear dear ... Pity him being ignored by me during my revisions lately ... Lol ... So sweet accompanying me while I do my revision ... What would I do without him , he gives me so much support ...
He would send me reminders like "老婆，不要给自己太多压力哦〜你很厉害了＂，＂宝贝不要读太迟，早点睡啊＂... I unconsciously smile whatever I see these sweet messages ...

Whenever I'm stress I just need to talk to him even for a few seconds ...
Oh my sweet baby ...

Finally

终于考完试了！＼(^o^)／

我现在在考场外面，等其他同学做完〜
当然我又是第一个做完XD
蛮容易的嘛，希望没有粗心〜（是有检查了啦〜）

还有一个小时才结束的，我那么快出来了XD

反正也是没事做〜就写写部落格好了〜

老公今晚特地不加班，回来陪我喔〜
说要好好疼我〜我这阵子为了考试读书很辛苦〜

打完针回来（子宫颈癌预防针）, 很骄傲自己没有哭喔！不会痛是假的，可是不会很痛啦〜
老公很怕我痛，怕我哭，还一直要我要打针时打给他陪我说话分散注意力XD
他一直信息来我都没理〜因为好多表格要填哦！
结果填了就打了！好快！
护士看起来很凶不过其实很温柔，一直叫我不要怕，一直叫我呼吸〜哈哈哈〜一下子就打好了。我连按在针口上的棉花都直接丢掉又继续生龙活虎了！
到处和护士长，讲师，同学们炫耀这是我第一次打针没有哭！
然后我朋友一直旁边说＂你20岁了叻...==＂
哈哈哈XD
我不是怕痛，是觉得有东西插进皮肤很恶心。像你们觉得蟑螂很恶心，可是我都可以用手捏死蟑螂一样啊〜
只是我觉得恶心的东西比较不一样嘛！

老公还说回来买糖果给我吃〜很像我是小孩子一样！
要也是买爆米花给我吃是吗？！
XD没有啦，我不喜欢零食〜

到现在还有点酸酸的，所以我想好好休息〜

树

在蓝色星球的一个村落上，有一棵树，唯一一棵树，被村民们奉养朝拜的树。

它是棵挺拔的老松树。
因为村民的灌溉与施肥，它又高又粗壮。
太阳每天照在它的绿叶上，让它得以进行光合作用，越长越茁壮。

有一天，它问太阳＂你爱我吗？＂
太阳坦然回答到＂我当然爱你，非常爱你阿＂

树很满足地、自豪地、告诉村民，
＂我是大地上，唯一一棵太阳爱着的树＂

它不知道，它不是大地上唯一的树。
它天真地以为，它是独一无二的。

日子渐渐过了，树死心塌地的爱着太阳。
为了更接近太阳，逼着自己越长越高，不在乎自己粗壮不粗壮，只要长得更高。

年复一年，树干越来越细，已经支撑不了大树那么多的叶子。大树为了接近太阳，把叶子都落下了。

过了好久好久，大树没有叶子制造食物，快枯死了。

一位从远方而来的长者问大树为什么要如此摧残自己，
大树说＂太阳全心全意只爱着我，我必须努力接近我的爱人，以更好地守护着它＂
长者说＂太阳爱着大地上所有的树，而你只是其中一棵微不足道的树阿...＂

大树听了以后非常难过，很后悔自己的一厢情愿断送了自己的性命。但已经太迟了。

大树死了。
它死去的枝干仍然扎根站稳在大地上，永远凝望着它深爱的太阳。

而此时太阳正回答蓝色星球另一角的一棵柳树说到＂我当然爱你阿，我非常爱你....＂
它永远不知道，这句话害死了松树......
